Over the years we have developed various methods and
practices for our programming. We try to streamline
our development time by reusing generic blocks of programming
code, whether that be via templates, libraries, scripts,
or, other tools available to us. We will also reuse
an idea or formula that has worked well in the past.
And, we are a firm believer in object oriented programming
(OOP) philosophy and implementation.
When we are talking with prospective clients, we like
to show them how we work in implementing these design
practices. We show them different ways to accomplish
the same thing and then discuss the pros and cons of
each approach. We also ask for their input relating
to their "personality" and visions, and, we
check out web sites they tell us they like.
The major decisions on the web site are shared between
us and our client. The client has to be comfortable
with not only their content, but, also the look and
feel of their site. And, we have to provide a solution
that works well with the various browsers and can be
maintained in the future. These decisions can include
the type of layout (tables, frames, etc.), font and
color schemes, and, navigation. The correct decisions
lead to a web site where the visitor will want to stay,
and, come back often.
The buttons on the left provide more details about
design aspects that we consider to be important. We
invite prospective clients to explore those pages to
get a better understanding of how we like to build a
web site. And, occasionally we will send an existing
client back to these pages to help resolve some issues.
